During my recent getaway at the Red Lion, I appreciated the charming ambiance of this historic pub, nestled in a picturesque English village. The dining experience was noteworthy; while the A La Carte options were diverse and well-prepared, I found the portions to be on the smaller side, though they were undeniably tasty. The restaurant's atmosphere struck a nice balance between informal and sophisticated, enhancing the enjoyment of our meals. Breakfast, featuring fresh juice and individual French-press coffee, was solid, though the one-hour window felt somewhat limiting. What stood out was the attentive staff, who skillfully navigated around a bustling dinner crowd without being intrusive. If you're planning a visit to the nearby Duxford aerodrome, the Red Lion presents an inviting retreat with delightful culinary offerings and a lovely garden to unwind.
